André Ventura refuses to vote when there are populations affected by bad weather

Candidate André Ventura defended today that it makes no sense to call for votes for the second round of the presidential elections when populations are dealing with the effects of bad weather, despite admitting “political risks”.

“It doesn’t seem to make sense to me that my message should be an appeal to vote, it seems to me that my message should be ‘solve these people’s problems’”, he stated.

The candidate supported by Chega was speaking before a visit to Adega Monte Novo e Figueirinha, in Beja.

“Now we are in the middle of a crisis again, I think we should focus on that and I feel that what I have said is having an effect from a practical point of view”he defended.

André Ventura admitted that this stance “has political risks, obviously”, but sent this analysis to Sunday. “I will be here to take charge of whatever happens”, said the leader of Chega, the party that supports him in the race for Belém.

André Ventura considered that, “when the time comes, people will decide who has the best profile” to be the next President of the Republic.

“I think I’ve already shown that I have the profile that decides and doesn’t leave everything the same”, he highlighted.
