A 34-year-old man died this Sunday, February 15, at the Amadora-Sintra hospital, after being admitted in the early hours of the morning with gunshot wounds, along with a 16-year-old young man, following clashes in Cova da Moura.
A source from the PSP told Lusa that the events took place at around 4:15 am on Rua Principal in the neighborhood of Cova da Moura, in Amadora, when authorities became aware of the entry, into Hospital Fernando da Fonseca, of two men with gunshot wounds.
“A 34-year-old man, with serious injuries to the chest area, entered the hospital’s operating room and unfortunately died. A 16-year-old man has a minor injury to his arm”, said the same source.
Regarding the perpetrator or perpetrators of the shooting, it has not yet been possible to intercept or identify any suspect, he said.
The PSP reinforced policing in the Cova da Moura area, took charge of the incident and communicated the facts discovered to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Judiciary Police.
