Four Detained in Campo de Ourique for Drug Trafficking: PSP Operation

The PSP arrested, on Thursday, February 12, in the Quinta do Oureiro neighborhood, in Campo de Ourique, Lisbon, four people on suspicion of committing the crime of drug trafficking.

The arrest of the three men and a woman aged between 23 and 55 years old took place in the act after investigations carried out in the previous days, according to a statement released this Sunday, 15th. “It was a group of people who acted in concert, selling drugs to the end consumer”, adds the PSP.

“The Public Security Police, in response to the wishes of the population residing in the Quinta do Loureiro Neighborhood, who are faced with drug trafficking on a daily basis, have been launching several operations in this Neighborhood, aiming to combat drug trafficking, mainly in terms of direct sales to consumers of this type of product”, says the PSP note.

From the police operation in question, which was attended by several members of this police force, several types of drugs were also seized, namely 62 individual doses of hashish, 722 individual doses of cocaine, 1351 individual doses of heroin and also 3300 euros in cash.

After being present for the first judicial interrogation, the most serious measure (preventive detention) was applied to one of the suspects and weekly presentations were applied to the remaining three.
