The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a 36-year-old man, due to “strong indications of the crime of qualified homicide”, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, February 2, in a car park on Avenida de Ceuta, in Lisbon, near the Ceuta Sul neighborhood.
The victim is a 30-year-old woman, with whom the suspect had “a romantic relationship that ended a few days ago.”
According to the PJ, the detainee was not “conformed” to the end of the relationship and surprised the victim when she was preparing to go to work.
Knowing the victim’s routines, he “waited for her arrival” at the parking lot, where he had the car, “and, armed with a revolver, ended up shooting her in the head with a gunshot, causing her death, leaving the scene”, explains the criminal investigation police, in a statement sent to the newsroom.
The suspect in this murder began fleeing “towards the south of the country, and was arrested on the same day the events occurred”, says the PJ. The man will be present, this Tuesday, for the first interrogation of a defendant detained at DIAP in Lisbon.
