A royal ovation for Luke Sulic and Felipe Tristan in “Armonía de Maestros”

Monterrey, NL.- The familiar sound of the old streets of the Explanada de los Héroes has disappeared, carried away only by the strings of the Orchestra del Festival Internacional Santa Lucía under the direction of Felipe Tristán and the cello in the hands of Luka Sulic. Both wrote a real “Armonía de Maestros”, on the night of this evening.

As part of the 10th year of FISL, the music masters performed Las Artes a la Calle, magically engaging each of the assistants who remained in their audience for 90 minutes to enjoy the melodies that integrated the program.

The opening was the melody Voces de Primavera by Franz Joseph Haydn, from which Sulič demonstrated the artistic talent that made him a master cellist. Power, passion, and sentiment were what drew his audience first.

Trisán’s orchestral direction showed his virtuosity in precisely marking each movement, achieving perfect synchronization between the members and highlighting the cello.

The musical program was integrated into Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Scenes, arranged for cello, where Sulic substituted his potential musical.

They then continued with El Cisne de “El Carnaval de los Animales”; Noir, own Pheonix of Sulic; Csárdás, Hungarian Dance No. 5 and Hungarian Rhapsody, Op. 68.

After a short break, the orchestra returned to count on more than 3,000 assistants who performed the Explanation of the Heroes and once again enthusiastically welcomed the artists.

A series of tunes from original movie themes such as Mission Impossible Titanic – My Heart Will Go On The Mission – El Oboe de Gabriel Piratas del Caribe motivated extended applause and emotional shouts of ¡Bravo, bravo!

It was clear that music was currently evolving and they were recreating, spending free time and being pleasantly welcomed by the excellent climate.

The program ended and the assistants, who were not satisfied with this spectacle, wanted more. At the end of the official FISL program, the orchestra, Luka Sulic and Felipe Tristan satisfied the audience and returned to the stage to play Time to Say Goodbye, El Vuelo del Abejorro a cerrar con “broche de oro” to the tune of Bésame Mucho by Mexican Consuel Velázquez.

At the end of the concert, Victoria Kühne, president of the FISL patronage, presented the recognition to the two virtuoso masters and the representation of the orchestra to the first violinist.

The International Festival of Santa Lucía continues to focus on the goal of “Las Artes a la Calle” and after this Saturday, the first week invites residents to participate in the remaining events scheduled until November 3rd.
