Two people were killed and one was injured in a shooting that occurred in the South Carolina State Universityin USAreported that institution.
The educational center assured that its campus was closed on Thursday night after receiving a report about shots fired in an apartment in the Hugine Suites student residential complex.
“University authorities have not yet confirmed the identity of the victims or the condition of the injured person,” the institution added in a statement. “The campus remains closed,” he reiterated.
University authorities also did not say whether anyone had been arrested in connection with the shooting.
They noted that local law enforcement was assisting the university “in patrolling the campus and surrounding areas” and that Friday classes were canceled.
