Onondaga County issues travel advisory ahead of lake effect snowstorm


Syracuse, NY – Onondaga County issued a travel advisory Monday ahead of a lake-effect storm that could dump up to three feet of snow in some areas.

County Manager Ryan McMahon warned residents that the storm could lead to dangerous driving conditions in the county. He urged residents to be extremely careful when driving.

The lake-effect storm is expected to be intense, with strong winds and blizzard-like conditions.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 7:00 AM Wednesday.
