Brazilian guitarist Fabiano do Nascimento makes debut in Lisbon next week

Brazilian guitarist and composer Fabiano do Nascimento performs for the first time in Lisbon on March 11th, at St George’s Church. The presentation marks the opening of the first season of The Church Sessions, a new cultural initiative in the capital of São Paulo.

Born in Rio de Janeiro and currently based in Los Angeles, Fabiano has built an international trajectory based on the dialogue between Brazilian traditions and contemporary sounds. In his work, he explores the characteristic sound of multi-string guitars, with references to afro-samba and choro, incorporating elements of modern jazz and experimental electronics.

Throughout his career, he collaborated with names such as Airto Moreira, Sam Gendel, Arthur Verocai and Aloe Blacc, in addition to releasing more than ten albums. The musician also gained prominence in the international press and participated in projects and presentations that expanded his circulation outside Brazil.

The Church Sessions are produced by CMT Live and propose shows in an intimate format at the Anglican church of St George, which, despite being a worship space, also hosts cultural programming. In total, four shows are planned throughout 2026, with Gonçalo Castro as master of ceremonies.

The performance on March 11th is scheduled for 8pm. Tickets cost €25 euros and are available for sale through from this link.
