Bill Clinton, former president of the United States, appeared this Friday before the House of Representatives Oversight Committee that is investigating the crimes committed by Jeffrey Epstein.
In a closed-door statement in Chappaqua, New York, Bill Clinton reaffirmed that he had no knowledge of the crimes that the businessman committed and that he did not see or do anything wrong during the time he lived with him.
“First of all, I had no idea about the crimes that Epstein was committing. No matter how many photos you show me, there are two things that, at the end of the day, matter more than your interpretation of those photos from 20 years ago. I know what I saw and, more importantly, what I didn’t see. I know what I did and, more importantly, what I didn’t do. I didn’t see anything and I didn’t do anything wrong,” said the former president after being summoned by the members of the Committee to answer questions about his crimes. ties to Epstein.

Likewise, he emphasized that he never observed anything that made him suspect the illicit activities of the deceased businessman.

At his appearance, Bill Clinton also defended his wife, Hillary Clinton, who testified Thursday.
“You brought Hillary in. She had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing. She doesn’t even remember meeting him. It doesn’t matter if you cited 10 people or 10,000; including her just wasn’t right,” he claimed.
The former US president appeared in photographs next to Epstein and his girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, smiling, swimming and sharing moments with both of them, which led to him being summoned to determine his links with the criminal.
