A small dog survived the crash of a military helicopter in which 15 people died in southern Peru, iThe Air Force of that country informed AFP this Tuesday.
After the aircraft crashed, rescuers found the candy-colored can among the twisted fires. He remained next to the body of his owner, Colonel Javier Nole, 50, who was on board with his wife and two daughters.

“He is Colonel Nole’s pet, “He is the only survivor”a source from the military institution told AFP.
The accident occurred on Sunday and all the people traveling failed. Among the victims were four soldiers and 11 civilians, including their wives and seven minors between the ages of 3 and 17.
According to a report from local Latina television, “the animal was later moved to receive veterinary evaluation.”
The crashed helicopter, a Russian-made Mi-17, lost contact on Sunday when flying over the Ica region300 kilometers south of the Peruvian capital.
Rescuers located the remains of the aircraft on Monday in the town of Chala, in Arequipa.
The device was used in recent days in rescue efforts for victims, during the floods that occurred in that department.
The Air Force ordered an investigation to determine the causes of the accident.
