Circulation on Highway 1 (A1) was reestablished, in a conditioned manner, between the Coimbra North and Coimbra South interchanges at 7:30 pm this Monday, February 23rd, the concessionaire said.
“The measure is applied following the completion of the stabilization work on the transition slab on the South/North platform, which took place at the beginning of this week, and aims to minimize the impact on users, given the strategic importance of the A1 for national mobility”indicated Brisa, in a statement.
On February 11, the rupture of the Casais dike, on the right bank of the Mondego River, in Coimbra, next to the A1 Motorway, led to the erosion of the northern junction with Viaduct C and the subsequent collapse of the A1 platform at kilometer 191.
