“Tirso, this deserves an explanation, we wait”, wrote, this morning, in one of the 1143 chats, a member of the group. This is the dominant topic of conversation this Sunday, February 22nd, following from Tirso Faria’s interview with the newspaper Public.
Tirso Faria, coordinator of the Santo Tirso nucleus of 1143, said, in the interview with journalist Miguel Carvalho, that a Chega deputy, Rui Afonso, bought votes from neo-Nazis. The deputy from André Ventura’s party had already been accused of hiring members of the group to be his “security guards”. Chega’s relations with hate groups, 1143 and Reconquista are not new.
The interviewee, A regular presence at 1143 demonstrations, he has not been on Telegram for about a month, but has been called upon to give “explanations” about the interview. Another member of 1143 asked, in the chat, that everyone be “calm”, highlighting that the news “they greatly destabilize the group” and that this is the “objective” of the Government. Another theory circulating in the chats has to do with the appointment of Luís Neves to the position of Minister of Internal Administration.
