Trump bombs Jark Island, the heart of Iranian oil production, but without damaging its productive infrastructure

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, assured this Friday that the US Army has carried out a bombardment on the strategic island of Jark, in Iran, although he has indicated that it has not attacked its oil infrastructure “out of decency.”

“A few moments ago, under my orders, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has carried out one of the most powerful bombings in the history of the Middle East and has completely destroyed all the military objectives of the jewel in the crown of Iran, the island of Jark,” he announced in Truth Social, where he assured that “out of decency, (he has) decided not to destroy the island’s oil infrastructure.”

The president has instead threatened to “reconsider” carrying out attacks against the island’s oil industry if Iran or another country intervenes in the “free and safe passage” of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

In this sense, he has defended that the Iranian forces have been left “without any capacity” to be able to defend themselves from American attacks. “There is nothing they can do about it!” snapped the North American president.

“Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, nor will it have the ability to threaten the United States of America, the Middle East or, indeed, the world. The Iranian Armed Forces, and everyone else involved with this terrorist regime, would do well to lay down their weapons and save what is left of their country, which is not much!” he stated in his message.

The president published a video of bombings shortly after the announcement and indicated that Iranian plans to “take over” the entire Middle East region and “completely annihilate” Israel have failed, “as has Iran.”

Iran responds

A spokesman for the Khatam al Anbiya Central Headquarters (KCHG), according to Iranian state television, has threatened attacks against any oil infrastructure in the Middle East in which any American company participates.

“All oil, economic and energy infrastructure belonging to oil companies in the region that have US shares or cooperate with the United States will be immediately destroyed and turned into ashes,” says the message issued “in response to the statements of the aggressor and terrorist president of the United States.”

Iranian sources have stated that the attack on Jark Island has not destroyed any oil infrastructure despite the fact that around 15 explosions have been reported in the enclave that would have caused a dense column of smoke, according to the agency. Fars.

In the same way, the authorities of the Persian country have maintained that the island’s defenses have been reactivated just an hour after the American bombings, which would deny the destruction of the defense systems that Trump has advanced.

Among the targets of the attack, Iranian media have pointed out that the Army defenses, the Goshen naval base, the airport control tower and the helicopter hangar would have been the targets of the bombing, with no confirmation from Iran at the moment of the damage caused.

Just a few hours before the announcement of the bombing, Trump had for the moment ruled out carrying out an attack against the strategic enclave located in the Persian Gulf.

“It does not occupy a very high place on my list of duties,” he explained on Fox News before criticizing that these questions affected his strategic capacity. The United States insists on intensifying the offensive in Iran, after announcing that this Friday would be “the most intense day,” as reported by the Chief of Staff of the United States Army, General Dan Caine, after taking stock of the 6,000 targets attacked in the almost two weeks of operation.

The island of Jark – barely 24 square kilometers in size – is located 25 kilometers south of the coast of Iran, in the Persian Gulf, and stands as one of the fundamental strategic points for the oil trade of the Islamic republic, allowing the export of 90% of Iranian crude oil.
