O Public highlights this Sunday, March 8, that the PSD recovers the 2011 law with mandatory medical certificate for sex change in civil registration. According to the newspaper, the diploma was received two weeks after Chega’s bill on the same topic. If approved, changing the name and gender on the citizen card will no longer be possible between the ages of 16 and 18.
On this Women’s Day, the newspaper also tells, with the help of a researcher from Coimbra who analyzed the party’s programs and interventions by two female deputies, how Chega uses women against equality.
O News Journal reveals that in the last decade there were 2600 cases, in the PSP intervention area alone, of missing elderly people, of which 140 were never found. According to PSP data, in the last year alone there were 241 cases, which corresponds to an average of 20 disappearances per month across the country. Loneliness and disease explain these numbers and experts call for strengthening social policies.
O Morning Mail says that the Entity for Transparency (EpT) forced Luís Montenegro to declare and prove the added value he obtained from the sale of BCP shares before assuming the role of prime minister. The head of government declared this added value almost two years after selling the bonds: in November 2025, in the replacement income statement he submitted to the entity, Montenegro declared having earned 181,172 euros.
