Explosions in Tehran and State of Emergency

The Israeli Ministry of Defense reported that Israel launched a “preemptive strike against Iran” to “eliminate threats” to its country, after which anti-missile alarms sounded in Israeli territory.

In the document in which Minister Israel Katz declares a state of emergency, shared by the department of which he is the head, a duration of 48 hours is established.

Coinciding with the announcement of the attack, all cell phones in Israel issued an “extreme emergency alert”, warning the population to seek nearby shelter and avoid unnecessary travel, the same thing that sounded when the Israeli government attacked Iran in June 2025, after which the so-called 12-day war began.

In cities like Jerusalem, where planes were heard flying overhead in the morning, anti-aircraft alarms went off.

The attack takes place in a situation of high regional tension, after weeks of US threats of military action in Iran.
