The classic between Benfica and FC Porto, in the 25th round of the Portuguese Football League, will be played on March 8, a Sunday, the Portuguese Professional Football League (LPFP) announced today.
The game is scheduled to start at 6pm, at Estádio da Luz, in what will be the third clash between the two teams this season, after a 0-0 draw in the first round of the championship and the ‘dragons’ triumph (1-0) in the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup, both played in Porto.
With 23 rounds already played, FC Porto is the current leader of the championship, with 62 points, seven more than Benfica, which remains in third, and four more than Sporting, in second.
In this round, the lions visit Sporting de Braga, who is fourth, in a match scheduled for Saturday, March 7, also at 6pm.
