Sheinbaum assures that “peace is being guaranteed” after the wave of violence due to the death of ‘El Mencho’

Sheinbaum has confirmed that a national command center is maintained to coordinate ongoing operations, which remain in contact with the various state governments. “All the governors were in coordination” after the military operation, the president highlighted, thanking them for their collaboration in sharing the information.

The Mexican president also wanted to recognize the work of the National Defense Forces, headed by General Ricardo Trevilla Trejo. “Mexico has extraordinary Armed Forces,” he celebrated, highlighting their “preparation” and “patriotism.” He also wanted to express his condolences for the troops who died during the operation.

The intervention comes after a much criticized silence of sixteen hours during the day of violence, in which he only expressed himself through a message on the ‘X’ network. In it he urged the population to remain “calm.” The president insisted on “absolute coordination with governments of all states.”

He added that, despite the blockades and violent demonstrations, in “most of the national territory” activities were developing with “complete normality.” “We must stay informed and calm,” he urged then.

Oseguera Cervantes was killed during an operation in Tapalpa, 130 kilometers south of Guadalajara, capital of Jalisco. Alias ​​El Mencho, 59 years old, was one of the most wanted criminals by Mexican and American authorities, with a million-dollar reward for information leading to his capture.
