Prepare your heart to see, if you haven’t already seen it, the presentation that offered Portugal the best of Brazilian music. On the stage of RTP, the Portuguese public service television, in national broadcast on the night of this Saturday, February 21st, MPB shone.
Nothing more, nothing less than 12 Brazilian artists, immigrants in Portugalfilled the stage with their talent and represented those who often walk against the wind, even without documents, to promote cultural projects that move the local music scene.
The training was led by Luca Argel, Nani Medeiros e Karla da Silvawith Juju Batera on drums, Bibi Nobre on bass, Jhon Douglas on guitar, Diogo Guanabara on mandolin, Bruno Pereira on seven-string guitar and percussion with Juninho Ibituruna, Tida Pinheiro, Emile Pereira, Neném do Chalé – some of the artists are members of Coletivo Gira, such as TIda Pinheiro, Bibi Nobre and Emile Pereira.

The special moment was part of the first semi-final of the Song Festival, traditional event in the country and which is considered a brother of the Brazilian Popular Music Festivals, a cultural landmark of the 1960s.
Luca Argel was the guest after having participated in the 2025 edition of the festival. The Brazilian artist was in the semi-final and presented a song inspired by his own experience and that of thousands of immigrants who live in Portugal.
