Seven people were injured, two of them seriously, following a fire that broke out on the morning of Friday, February 20, in a building in the town of Cobre, in Cascais.
“The fire broke out in a room on the ground floor of a three-story building. There were two serious injuries reported who were transported to the São Francisco Xavier Hospital, in Lisbon, and five minor injuries to the Cascais Hospital,” a source from the Greater Lisbon Sub-Regional Command told Lusa.
“The building, which at the time of the alert did not have many people inside, was evacuated and the injured were treated and transported to hospitals,” he added.
The alert was given at 9:27 am, and by 10:20 am the fire was already out.
There were 36 operatives on site, with the support of 16 vehicles.
