PM announces reinforcement of support for 3.5 billion euros and reform of INEM

The support package for the country due to the storms was reinforced by around R$1 billion.

This first response plan was valued, at the beginning of February, at 2.5 billion euros, but this Thursday, February 19, in the fortnightly debate that takes place in the Assembly of the Republic, the prime minister revised the aforementioned plan upwards to 3.5 billion euros.

“In the face of the calamity situation, we adopted measures that were unprecedented in speed, impact and scope”, began Luís Montenegro.

“The global support package, which initially amounted to around 2.5 billion euros, currently stands at 3.5 billion euros, with measures focused mainly on people and companies and whose first payments began 15 days after the first storm”, Depression Kristin, which mainly devastated the West and Center regions of the country in the early hours of January 28th.
