Obama said in a podcast that extraterrestrials “are real” and then found himself ‘forced’ to clarify

A response from former US President Barack Obama about aliens, during a podcast, published over the weekend, became controversial and led the former head of state to make a clarification.

Opening the quick Q&A format on podcast de Brian Tyler Cohenthe question of whether “aliens are real” was raised. “They’re real, but I haven’t seen them,” responded Obama, who added, “And they’re not being held at Area 51. There’s no underground facility, unless there’s a huge conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States.” The former US president was referring to the US military base located in Groom Lake, in the southern state of Nevada.

He was also asked in this podcast published on Saturday night (February 14) about “what was the first question he wanted an answer to when he became president”. Between laughs, Obama replied: “Where are the aliens?”

Barack Obama’s position in this podcast aroused interest from the media, media and social networks, and the 44th US president was ‘forced’ to make a clarification on Sunday (15 February) about the position he initially conveyed in the interview.

“I was trying to keep in the spirit of the quick round, but since this got attention, let me clarify. Statistically, the universe is so vast that the chances are good that life exists out there,” said Obama, who assured that he had never seen evidence of extraterrestrial contact during his administration. “But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances of us having been visited by aliens are slim, and I have seen no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Serious!”, reinforced the former North American president in the message shared on Instagram, the social network where he published an excerpt from the podcast with answers about aliens.
