The President of the Republic promulgated the Government diploma that creates a free ticket for an accompanying person with a disability in public entities promoting artistic shows, the presidency announced this Saturday, February 14th.
The measure had been approved by the Council of Ministers on December 17th.
As announced then, the objective is to make the rooms more inclusive, and follows the creation, at the beginning of this month, of the Seal – Accessible and Inclusive Cultural Spaces (SECAI). Margarida Balseiro Lopes said that the measure would be tested for six months and should be extended to private individuals by the end of next year.
