Insurance can play a decisive role in enabling businesswomen to respond to damage caused by storms. However, many don’t know what they can do, so Doctor Finance seeks to help, at the same time as it prepares to launch a personal trainer financial.
A fintech This Friday, February 13th, the Wellbeing Center opened, which is dedicated to training and supporting families regarding financial investments. At issue is the intention of providing tools so that they can choose the most appropriate ways to save, putting their money to work.
For this purpose, it created a financial diagnosis that can be carried out by anyone. “The objective is for us to know how we are in terms of financial skills and what we can do to improve”, said Rui Pedro Bairrada, in the presentation of the new infrastructures.
At the same time, Doutor Finances is launching financial trainers. At issue is a concept “very linked to that of personal trainer“, as they will help with learning, but without giving investment advice, he added.
At its origin is the “growing need for specialists in financial education and the promotion of good financial practices in Portugal”. That said, the fintech will have “people spread across the country to help those who need to make better financial decisions.”
Bad weather leaves many business owners uncertain
After three weeks of storms, which caused flooding and much destruction, families are looking for solutions to minimize the damage. In this chapter, “what is happening is a scourge”, according to Nuno Leal, co-CEO of Doutor Finances.
He himself explains that “the vast majority of people thought they were covered by insurance… and they are not. Worse than that, many don’t even know how to take out insurance to deal with the weather”, he said, at the same event. Therefore, Doctor Finance wants to help rebuild businesses across the country.
Those responsible are preparing “a program to help start over”, remembering that there were people who “lost everything” in a short time.
He himself emphasizes that financial literacy is an area in which Portugal remains well below the European average and that recovering from this disadvantage will take a long time. Still, don’t forget that certain help can reach the field on a daily basis. This is where storm supports come in.
“It’s very difficult for people to understand what they have, what they don’t have and, most importantly, what they should have”, he highlights, from a future perspective.
