Pope Leo XIV asks to support Colombia after the floods

VATICAN CITY.- This Wednesday, during his general audience weekly, the Pope Leo XIV asked to lend support for Colombia after the serious flooding of the last few days.

The Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church entrusted “the victims and all those affected by the serious floods in Colombia” to the protection of the Virgin.

And he urged “the entire community to support the affected families with charity and prayer.”

The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, assured yesterday that the reconstruction of the areas affected by the rains and the overflowing of rivers such as the Sinú and the San Jorge in the Caribbean region of the country will involve millionaire investments in the coming months.
