Trump scares Iran’s supreme leader, ‘he should be very worried’

U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview Wednesday that Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ““I should be very worried.” as the United States strengthens its military presence in the region.

“I say he should be very worried, he should be,” Trump said in the interview with the channel. NBC News. “As they know, they are negotiating with us.”

Trump made these statements after the Axios media reported that the talks scheduled for Friday between Washington and Tehran are hanging by a thread due to the United States’ refusal to change the meeting place and format of the meetings.

The White House had no immediate comment on the Axios news when contacted by AFP.

Trump has sent a US aircraft carrier to the Middle East region and has not ruled out new military actions in Iran, such as those in June in which they destroyed the Islamic republic’s nuclear facilities.

The Republican also assured that Iran plans to build a new nuclear facility. “We found out and I told them: if you do it, we will do very bad things to you,” he said in the interview.
