Chapel of Our Lady of the Incarnation in Leiria was left without part of its roof, but repairs have already been contracted

The Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Incarnação, in Leiria, presents damage to the structure following the Kristin depression, and will be the target of urgent safeguard intervention, announces Património Cultural, Instituto Público (PC,IP).

“The decision for immediate intervention occurred following a technical inspection carried out by the PC, IP teams, who traveled to Leiria on the 29th and 30th of January, having confirmed the situation of high structural risk of the building. The Chapel of Our Lady of the Incarnation has been classified as a Monument of Public Interest since 1982“, explains the public institute in a statement.
