Profit of 7.1 billion in 2025 with a drop of 0.2%

The French bank Crédit Agricole ended 2025 with a profit of 7.1 billion euros, a reduction of 0.2% compared to 2024, mainly due to the effect of the consolidation of its largest stake in Banco BPM.

For the year as a whole, the group’s gross operating income (EBITDA) increased by 1.3%, to 12.5 billion euros, while revenues rose 3.3%, to 28 billion euros.

Despite these operational progress, net profit suffered a slight annual fall, pressured by operations in Italy.

In the fourth quarter, profit fell 39.3% year-on-year, standing at one billion euros. Of the amount, 607 million had a negative impact due to consolidation effects associated with Banco BPM, explains the bank in the published results.

Earnings per share, however, improved by 3.4%, to 2.18 euros per share. In line with the trajectory of its Act 2028 strategic plan, Crédit Agricole proposes to the shareholders’ meeting the distribution of a dividend of 1.13 euros per share, an increase of 3% compared to the previous year.
