Along with Alex Saab he was also captured Raul Gorrinowner of Globovision channel y fugitive from federal justice in Floridain a joint operation of Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI, for its acronym in English) of the United States.

Money laundering and corruption network
Caracol Radio reported that the joint operation took place at 2:30 in the morning this day. He pointed out that Saab left the Chavismo ministerial cabinet a few weeks ago by order of Delcy Rodríguez, in charge of the Venezuelan Government, who would be in talks to extradite the Colombian company to the United States.
The detained subjects, apparently, are key pieces in the network of money laundering and corruption of the Chavista regime.

The EVTV channel from Miami, Florida, pointed out that the capture of Saab and Gorrín represents the most forceful blow against the financial structure of chavismo after the fall of the dictatorship. Intelligence sources confirmed that the FBI coordinated the actions to secure the two targets, accused of moving billions of dollars coming from the looting of Venezuelan heritage.
EVTV added that Raúl Gorrín faces multiple charges in Florida for bribery and conspiracy, while Alex Saab is identified as the mastermind behind the fictitious import schemes and the Chavista regime’s dark business dealings with international allies.
