The North American official pointed out that these devices represent a very serious threat to USA.

He said that from February 2022 to date, around 155 thousand devices have been identified, which were destroyed through the use of military technology and were used to monitor the actions implemented against various borders along the border between our country and the American Union. crimes in the border area.

“We have used technology to dismantle these drones, they are used most of the time to record our operations, they are used to carry out illicit activities in areas where, due to the complexity, it takes us a while to arrive,” he said.

He stated that the drones maneuvered especially by groups of the drug traffickinghave the capacity to transport and use explosive implements, which can cause serious harm to people.

He said that the areas where criminal groups operate the devices are monitored, in addition to elements of the US military forces, by members of the Mexican army in a joint effort by both countries.

“Mexico is an ally, it is a very important partner, since monitoring national security is a benefit for both countries. Mexico is very dedicated to supporting this effort with more than 10,000 National Guard troops to combat drug trafficking, especially fentanyl, since we know it is too dangerous,” said Chávez.
