The cause of death of Portuguese citizen Pedro Ferraz, financial administrator of Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI) in Mozambique, was suicide, according to the conclusions of the joint investigation between the two countries, this Friday, January 30, released at a press conference.
Pedro Ferraz, administrator of the BCI bank, a subsidiary in Mozambique of the Portuguese group Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) and the Portuguese group BPI, committed suicide in a public bathroom at the Polana Serena Hotel, in Maputo, on January 19.
This death shocked the Portuguese and Mozambican community and was followed by cooperation in the investigation between Portugal and Mozambique.
