This Monday brought the news that the people of Israel have been hoping for since October 7, 2023: the return home of the last abductee to be held by Palestinian terrorists.
Since I lived, I died in battle, heartily and three days ago.
But Ran Gvilia member of the anti-terrorist police unit, finally received a dignified burial among his people, in the village of his fathers, where my spirit was born and raised.
With the identification in Gaza, Israel sought a particularly sad and harsh chapter in its history. The saga of five and five kidnapped students who were in the hands of terrorists in France.
Two of them died in the war in 2014.
The others were Israeli civilians (one a judge and the other a Bedouin Muslim), both with mental health problems. They came to Gaza voluntarily for over a decade without understanding what they had done.

Let me return them, although it was clear that they were not in a healthy juice.
The rest, two fifty-one, were confiscated on the day of the massacre, October 7.
Of them those who were redeemed with life. Most flew to the highest point of the fire, but returned to the dead for decades.
Of those brought alive to Gaza that fateful day, they were killed and five died in prison.
With the return of the last of the secuestrados, the corollario of a denodada lucha community of Israel to reclaim them all, the detail confirms the singularity of the moment.
Ran Gvili didn’t want to worry about playing on the day of the attack. The next day, she is going to operate on her husband’s serious injury. But when he entered what he sought, I told his fathers which would not allow their teammates to play alone.
He ran out of his house to the south, saved many civilians in an aluminum kibbutz… and never came back. His body was kidnapped.
Ahora ya no secuestrados en Gaza.
This is one of the pillars of the existence of the State of Israel: it must not be abandoned in place. The catastrophic errors of October 7 were a serious violation of this principle.
Even if you assume you have two fifties and one abducted, he joined the army to save them.
The first recognition goes to the Israel Defense Forces and the security forces, who at no time stop trying to return everyone. Arriesgaron sus vidas para revolver secuestrados a casa. They dream of meeting the kidnappers and rescuing them.
The operation, based on intelligence on some places where Gvili’s body might be kept, continued for two weeks.

Finally, amid the intense work of forensic scientists, as hundreds of officers mounted guard to the rededor, he confirmed, “Let’s go meet him. He’s safe. It’s the Rani.”
At the hunting ground, the soldiers prayed, hugged and danced, enjoying the privilege of being such a part of something. Soldiers and officers, amid their uniforms and weapons, tanks and general alertness, spoke of the tears that brought them to the ground, of the joy associated with the pain, and of the strange emotions that inspired them. knowing that everyone in Israel was waiting for news.
They knew that while they were in Gaza, in front of Ran Gvili’s lifeless body, adults and children all over Israel were looking for confirmation that the last abductee was on his way home.
Particularly moving was the song that spontaneously arose on the spot, in the mouths of the soldiers who embraced each other and repeated a deep and very familiar letter: “I believe fully, with faith, in the love of the Messiah… and whatever happens, I will come”.
Changing “Mesías” to “Ran” clears things up.
Regarding the recovery of the body of the last child, Ran Gvili, Palestinian journalist Yousef Yasser wrote:
“I slept for a while: how is it possible that even a dead body is so important to us (for the community of the Court) until we put the whole world into it… pic.twitter.com/Op72Asjr8c

Also, Israel Defense Forces Commander-in-Chief Lt.-Gen Eyal Zamirraised the plegaria agraciendo to “God, our señor, king of the world, by keeping us alive, by keeping us alive, and by allowing us to leave at this moment”.
They all answered “amen”.
Israel honored a commitment that had always been part of its identity: it must not be left to anyone else. After the October 7 disaster, when it is clear that the security forces made serious mistakes, the promise is “never again”.
“In many cases, freedmen who have been seized are present in the square shortly after regaining their freedom to help others.”
The second recognition, the key one, is for the people of Israel.
Miles and miles were repeatedly mentioned in Tel Aviv’s Plaza de los Secuestrados in traditional civic rallies designed to support the families of the guards. No rain or intense heat. Nada amedrentaba.
In many cases, their arrest freed people are present in the square shortly after gaining their freedom to accommodate others.
Those who flew, counting how much they helped in the tunnels of Gaza, joined the multitudes who fought for them far away and even in Israel.
“Now the war is over,” many say as they confirm Gvili’s return.
The conclusion is only partially certain.
Undoubtedly, the fact that no one has been detained in Gaza means a before and after. It is not just the end of a chapter to the most difficult era in Israel’s history.
But the desafíos don’t end there.
It is precisely by meeting at the last secuestrada that the first stage of completion formally ends Trumpsigned in October 2025.
Second, the reconstruction of Gaza must come to the fore and the disarmament of the terrorist organization Hamas must be carried out. From this last one, which is now being received by Hamas, the countdown for the second one on October 7 will be the same as the time.
“The game is not over, we will continue to pursue our enemies,” said Israel’s number one official.
Now that you’ve reached the point of no return, you’re alive and proud. This is how you live in the people of Israel.
