Steve Tisch and Jeffrey Epstein Surface Emails in DOJ Records
The emails, dating back to 2013, are among more than three million Epstein-related documents released Friday. Reports indicate that Epstein facilitated introductions, discussed the women’s backgrounds and followed up the meetings with evaluations, according to the report.

What Steve Tisch and Jeffrey Epstein Discussed in Emails
The DOJ documents outline three main periods of communication between Epstein and Tisch during 2013, according to a CBS Sports report.
In May 2013, Epstein contacted Tisch while attending an NFL meeting. After Tisch replied that he was “Still in an NFL meeting,” Epstein suggested connecting him with a woman he identified as Russian. Tisch responded a few minutes later with a short question: “Is she having fun?” The exchange continued later that day. In June 2013, the tone of the reports became more detailed. Tisch asked Epstein directly about specific women. In one exchange, Epstein described the woman as “exotic” and noted that she spoke mostly French. Tisch responded by asking if she was a “working girl,” to which Epstein replied, “Never.
Another exchange from that month shows Tisch asking Epstein, “Is my present in NYC?” Epstein answered in the affirmative. Tisch then followed up the next morning and asked if his “surprise” could take him to lunch.
During the same period, Epstein sent explicit descriptions of the women and encouraged Tisch to contact them. Tisch responded with thanks and asked follow-up questions about the other women, including whether one was “pro or civil”. Epstein replied that she was a “civilian” and added other personal notes.

Epstein also sent follow-up messages after the meetings. In one email, he told Tisch that he was “doing very well,” noting that the woman in question was “a little freaked out by the age difference” and advised him to “go slow.” Epstein added that he tried to influence her not to return to Ukraine, writing that “making her cry worked.” Tisch responded positively, calling it “Nice news” and responding to a comment about crying.
In September 2013, the emails reflect a more social exchange associated with football. Tisch offered Epstein two tickets to his suite to a Giants game and invited him to other games in the season. Epstein later invited Tisch to visit his private island in the Caribbean, though the emails do not indicate whether Tisch accepted.
In another message from this period, Epstein wrote that he was “glad to have you as a new but … friend with a shared interest”.
The Justice Department says the files do not establish guilt
The Justice Department emphasized that the release of Epstein-related communications is intended to increase transparency and that naming a person in the documents does not in itself constitute a criminal act.
