Three full weeks into the women’s basketball season, already under-the-radar teams have gained national prominence and preseason title contenders have left the game. Heading into Week 4, here are Fall Johnson’s Top 10 Test Teams.
1. UConn (Prev 1)

2. South Carolina (Previous 2)
The Gamecocks remain at No. 2 after sweeping Winthrop and Queens. Between the two games last week, Joyce Edwards scored 47 points.
3. UCLA (Previous 3)
The Bruins stayed the same last week after sweeping South Florida and the South. South Carolina, UCLA and Texas State face off in the Players Era Championship on Wednesday and Thursday.
4. Texas (Previous 4)
The Longhorns scored 206 points in two games against Texas Southern and James Madison. Watch out for the Age of Players Championship, which has a good chance of shaking up these rankings.

5. LSU (Previous 5)
The Tigers scored their sixth straight 100-point game in a 112-49 win over Alcorn State on Nov. 20, setting an SEC record. LSU has scored over 100 points in every game this season.
6. Michigan (Formerly NR)
The Wolverines put the nation on notice by giving the defending champs their toughest test of the season. Michigan was just one possession away from knocking off the No. 1 team in the nation. Despite the loss, this game shows exactly where this team is. Michigan also posted a 39-point win against Notre Dame.
7. Maryland (previously 7)
The Terps are 7-0 and have started the season with at least 80 points in their first seven games for the first time this century.

8. Oklahoma (Previous 8)
The Sooners have won four straight and scored at least 25 points in each of the four wins.
9. TCU (Previous 10)
TCU women’s basketball head coach Mark Campbell earned his 100th career victory in just 140 games after the Horned Frogs beat UTRGV 93-57 on Sunday. It’s TCU’s third straight 6-0 start to the season thanks to Olivia Miles’ 3-game 15-5-5 streak and TCU’s 29th NCAA title.

10. Iowa (Formerly NR)
Despite missing a starting point guard, the Hokies extended their undefeated streak with a win over Baylor in the top 10.
