Your Votes: Who’s the Best Forward in AAA New York High School Girls Basketball?

As the 2025-26 New York high school girls basketball season reaches the halfway point, we present some of the best players in NY, class by class. One of our recent lists featured the best hitters in Class AAA.

Now we turn to the readers to decide which forward is the best of the best in Class AAA girls basketball in 2025-26.

We reached out to basketball coaches across the state and asked them to fill out a survey asking for information about their team. These lists were compiled primarily based on information provided by coaches who chose to respond.

Versatile 5-foot-9 forward Riley Abernethy is having a huge junior season for Bishop Ludden-Grimes. Through 12 games, he is averaging 17.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3 steals per game.
