At 11:44 PM Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from Monday, 1:00 PM until Wednesday, 1:00 AM for Oneida County.
“Total snow accumulations around 4 inches in areas such as Boonville, Woodgate and Florence. Wind gusts up to 35 mph,” can be expected, according to the weather service. “Any southward fluctuation of Lake Effect Snow bands could lead to increased snowfall totals with a future forecast update. A sharp snowfall gradient is expected with little snow accumulation south of Camden.”
“Plan on slippery roads. Hazardous conditions may affect morning and evening commutes,” the weather service adds. “Slow down and use caution when traveling. Call 5 1 1 for the latest road conditions for the state you are calling from.”
