The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning at 12:49 p.m. Wednesday in effect until 7 a.m. Friday for Jefferson and Lewis counties.
The weather service says to brace for: “Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches. Snow will begin on Tug Hill this evening. Heaviest accumulation will be on Tug Hill. Wind chills below freezing are expected Thursday through Friday morning.”
“Travel will be difficult. Hazardous conditions will affect the commute Wednesday night and Thursday morning,” the weather service explained. “Widely accumulating snow will create hazardous travel conditions.”
