Syracuse rookie Gabe Daniels enters the transfer window

Syracuse, NY – Syracuse wide receiver Gabe Daniels has entered the transfer window, reports say 247 Sports.

Daniels caught two passes for 29 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman in 2025. He was a three-star recruit at Greater Atlanta Christian (Georgia) before Syracuse.

He was also a state qualifier in the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints in high school.

Daniels’ departure leaves the Orange with 12 scholarship recipients.

Syracuse will look to replace almost all of its production at the position. Its leading recipients, Darrell Gill Jr. and Johntay Cook II, are transferring and Justus Ross-Simmons is graduating.

However, the Orange has two top-notch freshmen in the 2026 class in Amare Gough and Calvin Russell III. Syracuse is also high on true freshmen Darius Johnson and Darien Williams.

Redshirt sophomore Tyshawn Russell also showed potential before his September injury.

Daniels is the 29th Syracuse player to enter the transfer window.

The portal opened on Friday morning and players have until January 16 to enter their names.
