Syracuse football landed in Western Kentucky – transfer Noah Meyers

Syracuse, NY – Former Western Kentucky tight end Noah Meyers intends to transfer to Syracuse, he and his coach confirmed Friday morning on social media.

Syracuse needs Dan Villari at tight end after he graduates, and Meyers becomes the second tight end Syracuse has plucked from the transfer window.

Meyers, who also visited North Carolina State, finished the 2025 season with 357 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the Hilltoppers. He made the Conference-USA All-Freshman team in 2023.

He previously reported the news of the transfer to Meyers 247 Sports.

There is a perception that Meyers, a former two-star recruit, can develop into an NFL talent after making the East-West Shrine Bowl watch list. The Shrine Bowl is one of the most notable postseason all-star games for NFL prospects.

Meyers has two years of eligibility remaining in the youth position group for the Orange. The oldest player at tight end is David Clement, who will be playing his final season of college football.

After Clement and Meyers, Syracuse has a room that will consist of a redshirt sophomore, two redshirt freshmen and a true freshman. The Orange are also expected to add South Carolina transfer Michael Smith.

Friday is the last day for players to enter their names into the transfer portal as schools across the country enter the early part of the spring semester and winter practices approach.
