“Everyone wants to beat themselves on the water, but yachting is such a small company, everyone is very close, so it’s not like you hold grudges when you get off the water.
“I don’t think anyone is holding anything against me, in a final where everyone is trying to win, they do well.”
Unlike Abu Dhabi, Perth is known for tough conditions, which probably suit the Australian boat, which has won all of the first three SailGP seasons.
Despite their disappointing loss in last year’s final, there is nothing Jensen believes Australia need to change this season to claim a first title since 2023.
“With one (grand final) race on the sailing course, it can go your way and sometimes it can go against you,” Jensen said.
