The estimated Powerball jackpot is $45 million. The pre-tax lump sum payment would be about $20.7 million.
Double Play is a feature that gives players at select locations an extra chance to match their Powerball numbers in a separate drawing. The Double Play drawing takes place after the regular drawing and has a top prize money of $10 million.
Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The Double Play add-on feature can be purchased in 13 lottery jurisdictions, including Pennsylvania and Michigan.
A $2 ticket gives you a one in 292.2 million chance of joining the Hall of Powerball jackpot champions.
Drawings take place at 10:59 PM ET on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The deadline for purchasing tickets is 9:45 p.m
