New York has been under a snow flurry weather warning until Monday evening

At 4:53 p.m. Monday, the National Weather Service issued a snow shower advisory until 8 p.m. for Yates, Seneca, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Tioga, Broome and Delaware counties.

“Snow showers and lake-effect snow bands develop across the region early this evening. Snow may be locally heavy at times, reducing visibility to 1/4 mile. This, along with strong gusty winds, blowing snow and falling temperatures, will create snow-covered and slippery roads. Localized accumulations of an inch or two will be possible by 8:00 p.m.” services.
