Ice Storm Warning for Montgomery County until Monday morning

The National Weather Service issued an Ice Storm Warning at 3:45 a.m. Monday in effect until 10 a.m. for Montgomery County.

“Significant icing. Further ice accumulation around the light glaze,” can be expected, according to the weather service. “A light to moderate band of precipitation is moving into Montgomery County this morning. With surface temperatures below freezing in many places in the county, freezing rain may occur during the Monday morning commute.”

“Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. Hazardous conditions could affect the Monday morning commute,” the weather service said. “If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of emergency. Prepare for possible power outages.”
