FustCharlescertified public accounting firm in Syracuse, announced two certified public accountants on its staff who have been promoted to principal.
Michael W. Hartwell he was promoted to director of the company’s tax department. He joined the company in 2015.
Hartwell provides income tax planning, compliance and advisory services to proprietors, partnerships and corporations and the proprietors and officers associated with such entities. It focuses on commercial clientele using pass-through entities and is also involved in providing tax services to the firm’s non-profit organizations.
Hartwell is a member American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves as treasurer at Onondaga Historical Association advice. He is a graduate University of St. Bonaventure and resides in Cicero.

Mary Ellen Romagnowho joined the company in 2011, was promoted to director of the company’s audit department. It provides accounting, auditing and consulting services to many corporate commercial, healthcare and non-profit organizations as well as their employee benefit plans. She has experience serving hospitals, nursing homes, and home health care agencies, as well as expertise in third-party reimbursement and compliance audits for New York State cost reports for hospitals and home care agencies.
Romagno is also a member of the AICPA. She is a graduate Le Moyne College and lives in Liverpool.
