Average home prices are rising in most Onondaga County communities. See which ones


Home sales prices rose in most communities in Onondaga County during the first weeks of 2026, continuing the trend of rising housing costs.

Median home prices rose in 14 of the county’s 20 municipalities compared to the same point last year, according to data from the Central New York Information Service Inc., part of Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors.

Some locations saw double-digit percentage gains.

The biggest increase was in Spafford, where the median home price so far this year is $1.12 million, up 65.1% from the same period in 2025.

Other high-end markets also saw gains. Skaneateles, one of the county’s most expensive areas, saw median prices increase 22%, from $986,700 last year to $1.2 million in 2026.

Syracuse, Lysander and Camillus saw increases of 13.7%, 12.8% and 12.3% respectively.

Figures reflect sales through January 13.

Home prices throughout Onondaga County have been steadily increasing in recent years.
