A weather warning was issued for New York on Monday afternoon

At 11:50 a.m. Monday, the National Weather Service issued a special weather advisory until 2 p.m. for Southern Herkimer, Southern Fulton, Northern Saratoga, Northern Warren, Northern Washington, Western Schenectady, Western Albany, Northern Fulton and Southeast Warren counties, as well as Hamilton, Montgomery and Schoharie counties.

“With temperatures still in the low 30s through this afternoon, icy sidewalks and roads will likely remain icy. Use caution when driving or walking this afternoon. Temperatures will drop below freezing this evening, so any standing water will easily refreeze and refreeze tonight. Use caution when traveling, walking and driving,” the weather service said.
