The National Weather Service issued a snow flurry and rain advisory until 4:15 p.m. for Orange County at 3:29 p.m. Sunday.
“At 3:26 p.m., a band of rain and snow showers was near Hartwood, or 8 miles southwest of Monticello, moving east at 25 mph,” the weather service said.
Localities affected by the warning include Middletown, Port Jervis, Walden, Warwick, Goshen, Howells, Chester, Montgomery, Florida, Cuddebackville, Otisville, Huguenot, Unionville, Scotchtown and Deerpark.
The weather service comments, “Be prepared for rapidly changing visibility in the heaviest snow showers.”
