The PSP announced this Tuesday, February 10th, the arrest of an FC Porto fan, 23 years old, for being suspected of having broken protective glass at the Alvalade Stadium, during the game between Sporting and the blue and whites, which took place on August 30 last year.
The arrest warrant was carried out on Monday (9) by the PSP Lisbon Metropolitan Command, through the Criminal Investigation Division, in the parish of Pedroso, in Vila Nova de Gaia. The detainee is suspected of “committing crimes of violence associated with sport and qualified damage in the context of a sporting spectacle”, refers to this police force.
The suspect, who according to JN belongs to the Super Dragões fan base, was arrested following the execution of an arrest warrant and a search and seizure warrant, as part of a criminal case whose investigation was delegated to the Investigation Brigade against Violence Associated with Sport of the Criminal Investigation Division of COMETLIS.
During the authorities’ investigations, a sharp weapon (brass knuckles), pyrotechnic material and material alluding to the GOA ‘Super Dragões’ were found and “seized”.
The PSP explains that, during the August 2025 classic, at the José de Alvalade Stadium, an FC Porto fan, “who was in stand B and inside the security box, broke a protective glass, placed at the end of the stand”.
As a result, “pieces of glass fell onto bench A”, injuring “seven people already identified”.
The detainee will now be present for the first judicial interrogation so that coercive measures can be applied to him.
