BNP Paribas achieves record profit of 12.2 billion in 2025, an increase of 4.6%

BNP Paribas announced a historic net profit of 12.2 billion euros in 2025, an increase of 4.6% compared to 2024, driven by a particularly strong fourth quarter.

In a statement, the French bank revealed that fourth-quarter results grew 28%, to 2,972 million euros. For the year as a whole, EBITDA rose 6.5%, to 19,849 million euros, while revenues increased 4.9%, reaching 51,223 million.

The profitability on tangible capital (RoTE) stood at 11.6% and the maximum quality capital ratio (CET1) was 12.6% on 31 December, indicators that reinforce the institution’s financial solidity.

The group proposes to distribute to shareholders a dividend of 5.16 euros per share for 2025, an increase of 7.7% compared to the previous year.

Jean‑Laurent Bonnafé, CEO of the banking entity, stated that the results, combined with a “structurally favorable rate scenario”, maintain the objectives for 2026 and allow raising the prospects for 2028.

For 2026, the bank targets earnings per share growth of 8% and a RoTE of 12%. For 2028, the target is a net result at least 10% higher than in 2025 and a CET1 ratio of 13%.
