The National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC) recorded between 00:00 and 06:30 at least 70 events related to bad weather, most of which fell trees and flooded structures or surfaces.

Contacted today by Lusa, a source from the Lisbon Firefighters Regiment said this morning that there were dozens of incidents related to the effects of the Leonardo depression, most of which fell trees and floods, with no casualties.

“We are unable to count the incidents at the moment. There were dozens of incidents, but there is no record of victims. We had many tree falls on Avenida Defensor Chaves and Campo de Ourique, for example”, he indicated.

The Lezíria do Tejo Sub-Regional Command also told Lusa that it had recorded many incidents, most of which were tree falls and floods.

“We had a flood in a house in Samora Correia, but it has already been resolved, with no victims and no need for relocation,” he said.

Contacted by Lusa, a source from the Western Sub-Regional Command also reported dozens of incidents due to rain and strong wind, most of them flooding and falling trees, without causing any casualties.

In a report prior to Lusa, an ANEPC source said that 1,790 incidents were recorded between 00:00 and 23:00 on Wednesday due to bad weather, which mainly affected the sub-regions of Greater Lisbon, Setúbal and Oeste.

The occurrences between 00:00 and 23:00 on Wednesday mainly affected Greater Lisbon, with 276, Setúbal (221) and Oeste (220) and the main situations were floods, falling trees and mass movement.
