The Abades leprosarium: the ghost sanatorium that did not receive any patients and became fiction


The project was commissioned in 1941 by the renowned architect Marrero Regalado. A health city was planned in the south of Tenerife with 36 buildings, but the works were paralyzed and the complex ended up as an Army shooting range.
